Summary- Bipolar Disorder also called Manic depressive disorder means a person experiences mood changes that fluctuate between periods of high energy and huge depression. Bipolar is estimated to affect about 1.3 percent of adults, that can affect children and babies too. If you don't treat this disorder you can most likely get into stuff you don't want to get into. This means addictions or relationships and everyday things such as drugs or alcohol, work, school. Untreated then gives you the risk of suicide. Make sure you get yourself checked out, you can go a long period of time without recognizing it. You can experience a Bipolar disorder as young as 13 years old. 22 to 28 percent experienced this disorder before or at the age of 13. Most people diagnosed with this disorder might be diagnosed with ADHD too, so check yourself out if you experience any mood changes or high depression, you might have it.
