Summary- There are 16,192 different plants that live in Arizona today.Which I think is a really good number for a state that rarely has rainfall. If Arizona had more rain this would be the perfect place to have plants.One of the interesting plants i found was the Evening Primrose , which is its common name, but its real name is Oenothera . Here are some facts about the plant.
- This plant has the good side of it. It can be used to help with some medical problems like dry skin, obesity and used as an anti inflammatory which is really interesting.
- Also this plant contains vitamin F
- Native to North and South America
- The common names are Evening primrose, sun cups, sun drops.
- Size varies from 10cm to 3m tall.
The next plant that i found was the Bromeliad . The Bromeliad belongs to the family called Bromeliaceae , which also can have at least 3000 species. Some facts about the Bromeliad are
- They can survive indoors and in the outdoors.
- They live in cool climates or the Tropics.
- Most of these plants are used for food and has some vitamins and a source of fiber added to them.
- The Bromeliads colors are Bright Red, Orange, Purple, and Blue. Hundreds of them can also grow on branches of Tropical trees.
The Bromeliad can tolerate heat up to 70 to 75 degrees during the day and at night they can tolerate 60 to 65 degrees. If the leaves are stiffer that means they can tolerate more cold. This plant does well in humidity. They also require a good air circulation, they will grow more.
